Lenormand is a fortune telling system - the name inspired by the famous French diviner Madame Lenormand - consisting of 36 cards (each with their own playing card association) which likely developed from the German "Game of Hope" in the late 18th and 19th-century. I use it (alongside different oracle decks) to supplement and clarify my Tarot practice, mainly combining Lenormand with other cards. This system delivers quick, pictographic answers without the depth of inuitive understanding and symbolism required by the Tarot. For this reason, it lends itself incredibly well to divination - and is simply a lot of fun to play with.🥳 Here's a short little overview of the meanings:
1 - The Rider (9 of Hearts)
messages, news
2 - Clover (6 of Diamonds)

3 - Ship (10 of Spades)

5 - Tree (7 of Hearts)

6 - Clouds (King of Clubs)
Confusion and doubt - many decks will display the card having one dark side and one where the sun is breaking through the clouds. Combining cards in a reading, whatever you find on the light side tells you what is being resolved and cleared up. Likewise, the card next to and on the dark side of the Clouds reveals where things are still messy and difficult.
